Khalsa Lions Football Club is a community sports organisation that aims to provide opportunities and engagement in football through the provision of a welcoming club environment.

Our goal is to enhance community involvement, friendships and personal growth by providing members with a safe, supportive and inclusive atmosphere. In doing so, we hope to promote self‐confidence, physical and social skills, resilience and ultimately, social engagement for all the men, women and children involved.

About Us:

Khalsa Lions FC was formed in June 2008, to participate in the inaugural Victorian Punjabi Federation League. After having great success in the league, the team decided to enter Khalsa Lions FC into the National Sikh Games in 2009.

In 2009, Khalsa Lions went on to become the champions in their first attempt of the National Sikh Games, which were held in Coffs Harbour. In the Australian Sikh community this was seen as a major accomplishment for a newly developed club.

Since then, Khalsa Lions have been awarded with the following achievements:

  • 4 x National Sikh Games Championships
  • 5 x VPF Championships
  • 3 x Griffith Tournament Championships
  • 2 x Shepparton Tournament Championships
  • 4 x Vic Soccer Summer League Championships
  • 1 x Regional VIC Championships
  • And many other tournament victories

Throughout the football season, Khalsa Lions FC also competes in the MSCA football league, which is governed Football Victoria, and has almost 2000 registered football players across Melbourne.

Over the years, Khalsa Lions FC has grown to be the largest Sikh Football Club in Australia, comprising of two senior men’s teams, one senior ladies team, one veteran’s team as well as Under 15s, Under 13s, Under 10s and Under 8s junior teams. This equates to approximately 150 participants and a supporter base of over 700.

Our Social Media presence on Facebook, Instagram and newly created Tik Tok, is widely used to engage with our community and to promote all sponsors. It is an ever‐growing presence with more and more followers joining every week.
